AbstractFuzzy logic was invented by an engineer and is responsible for a number of industrial applications, including mechanisms for rice cookers and laser tracking devices.
In the meantime, the advent of fuzzy methods has also resulted in a lot of work in so-called fuzzy mathematics and fuzzy logic. Is there any good mathematics in this?
I am not an expert and cannot give a fully authoritative answer to this question, but I have had some involvement with the subject and will in this talk give a highly subjective answer to this question. Thus this will not be a technical talk on fuzzy logic but rather an attempt at placing what it is and what kind of content there is and isn't.
