Quantum symmetric pairs, K-matrices and deformations
In this talk I will give an introduction to the theory of quantum symmetric pairs. I will then explain how quasi K-matrices can be used to construct quantum symmetric pairs as explicit deformations of quantum enveloping algebras of parabolic type. The talk aims to be accessible by a general mathematical audience.
