Analysis on open curves over the p-adics
Triangulations of Riemann surfaces have a very satisfactory analogue for curves over a field of p-adic numbers. We will get our hands on some explicit examples, and see how this helps us investigate the topological and analytical properties of curves. In particular, we will be interested in Shimura curves and the p-adic upper half plane, as well as towers of modular curves and the modular curve with infinite level.
