Abstract

A (first) quantum computer (QC) that is useful in practice, is expected to be developed in the next few years. Two important applications that are expected to be supported by this QC are machine learning and optimization. For machine learning benefits are expected on run time, capacity and learning efficiency. For optimization the benefits are expected on run time and complexity. I will give an overview of the work we are doing on these topics.
