Varieties up to A1-homotopies
Homotopies in topological spaces are parametrized by the unit interval of real numbers between 0 and 1. Motivic homotopy theory studies of homotopies in algebraic geometry parametrized by the affine line. The talk will give an introduction to some basic questions in this area of research.
