The Lorentzian equivariant index theorem
In the presence of a structure preserving group action the classical Fredholm index of the Dirac operator can be replaced by a more refined index that also captures some of the structure of this action. This index can be related to an integral of certain characteristic forms over the fixed point set of the group action. We describe how this equivariant index theorem can be extended from Riemannian to Lorentzian manifolds.
