Classify all the triangles with this one simple trick professors don't want you to know (An introduction to stacks).

Abstract

In this talk we will see how the problem of classifying triangles naturally leads to the definition of (topological) stacks. We will define continuous families of triangles and construct the stack of triangles. If time permits I will end by computing the fundamental group of the stack of triangles. The only necessary prerequisite is some basic understanding of topological spaces. You don't even need to know what a triangle is! This talk is based on the first two chapters of the notes "An introduction to Algebraic Stacks" by K. Behrend.
