Hyperbolicity, orbifold and finiteness results.
In this talk we will give several definitions of hyperbolicity and orbifolds, in order to understand some finiteness properties for holomorphic applications between hyperbolic varieties. First, we will introduce the distance of Poincaré, then we will see how the pseudo-distance of Kobayashi can be seen as a generalization of the first one. This will allow us to talk about hyperbolic varieties. Then I will give some definitions for orbifold structures, in the classical sense and in the non-classical sense (defined by F. Campana). I will use these notions to state De Franchis’s theorem, and some generalisations of this result in higher dimension or using orbifold notions.
