Possibility of Errors in Database of Groups of Order Dividing 256
If an error seems to occur when you are using the
twogps database, follow this checklist:
-
You may have overwritten the identifier gps.
-
If you obtain an error message such as
User error: Identifier 'gen2' has not been declared
then you have failed to issue the statement
load gen2;
Other errors may indicate that you are not using gen2 correctly. Type
print gen2;
to find the correct way to call the function.
-
If the error is attributable to a bug in the Magma system,
send e-mail to magma@maths.su.oz.au
with a transcript of your Magma session.
-
Having eliminated these possibilities, if you have found evidence
of a bug in the database data or procedures please document as fully
as possible and mail to the authors.
Electronic mail addresses are newman@pell.anu.edu.au and
