Welcome to my homepage!

I am Francesca Arici and I am an NWO VENI fellow at the Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics in Nijmegen (NL).

I completed my Ph.D. in September 2015 at SISSA, Trieste (IT), under the supervision of Giovanni Landi.

After that I was a post doc at IMAPP in the group of Walter van Suijlekom, and then a part-time researcher and part-time science relation officer at the MPI for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig.

My research interests are in the field of noncommutative geometry and its interplay with theoretical physics. In particular, I am interested in index theory and its applications to operator algebras, in particular Cuntz--Pimsner algebras, graph C*-algebras and their K-theory.

A detailed CV can be found here.

September 2018   I have been elected to Deputy Member of the Standing Commmitee of EWM.

July 2018   I have been awarded an NWO Veni Grant to study the noncommutative topology of sphere bundles. See the NWO Website.
