Zhegalkin Zebra Motives: Algebra and Geometry in Black and White

Abstract

Zhegalkin Zebra Motives are tilings of the plane by black and white convex polygons constructed with the usual set theoretic operations from subsets which look like "zebras" (infinitely extended pedestrian crossings). They have a rich geometry; with the appropriate glasses one can see dessins d'enfants, knots and links, Calabi-Yau-3 algebras, ...
