Twisted graph functions and superintegrability

Abstract

In recent years evidence accumulated in the physics literature that various classes of one-dimensional quantum spin particle systems exhibit a weak form of integrability, known as superintegrability. I explain how this can be understood using work of Harish-Chandra from the fifties on representation theory of real reductive Lie groups. Moreover, I will show that Harish-Chandra’s pertinent result implies the superintegrability of a large family of quantum systems modeled on spaces of twisted graph functions.
