Research Interests

Algebraic and symplectic geometry: moduli spaces and stacks (of vector bundles, Higgs bundles, sheaves and quiver representations), group actions and quotients (geometric invariant theory, moment maps, symplectic and hyperkähler reduction), motives of moduli spaces and stacks.

Activities

I am a managing editor at a new open access journal Moduli owned by the Foundation Compositio Mathematica and published with CUP and LMS. The first issue appeared in 2024.

I am a geometry editor at the Quarterly Journal of Mathematics.

From 14 - 15 May, I am co-organising VBAC 2025 - Quivers and Sheaves with Pieter Belmans and Martijn Kool in Utrecht.

In May 2025, I am speaking at Mark de Cataldo's birthday conference Hodge Theory and Algebraic Geometry in SCGP.

In April 2025, I spoke at Combinatorial Algebraic Geometry in Frankfurt.

In January 2025, I spoke at Marc Levine's birthday conference Algebraic Geometry: a motivic view in Zurich.

In July 2024, I gave a lecture course on (Non-reductive) Geometric Invariant Theory at LMS School on Moduli Theory in Algebraic Geometry.

From January - June 2024, I co-organised a semester at the Isaac Newton Institute Cambridge on New equivariant methods in algebraic and differential geometry.

Together with the Vector Bundles on Algebraic Curves (VBAC) Committee we launched an online seminar series in 2020. For more information, see the VBAC website.
