Our research is concerned with various overlapping topics in Algebraic Geometry and Algebraic Topology, like abelian varieties, (equivariant) stable homotopy theory, higher algebra, moduli spaces, rational points on algebraic varieties, and the theory of motives. The courses offered by us range from introductory bachelor-level courses on rings and fields or topology over intermediate courses on homological algebra or sheaves to more advanced master-level courses on cohomology or Riemann surfaces.
Sièna van Schaick started as a new PhD candidate in our group in July 2025.
Magdalena Kędziorek and Steffen Sagave are part of a consortium of six researchers to whom NWO awarded an ENW-XL grant for their project Symmetry on the interface of topology and higher algebra.
Ariyan Javan Peykar was awarded a NWO ENW M-1 grant for the project "Many or Any Points"
